Michael’s has a range of styles the latest being his whimsical men in bowler hats.
After leaving school, Yorkshireman Michael worked as a fork lift truck driver for 10 years, while also working part time as a freelance card designer with major publishing companies. He finally had the confidence to become a full time artist in 1990. Over the last twenty years he has worked and exhibited in New York, designed figurines in Thailand and ceramics for Wedgwood featuring one of his teddy bear characters. He has developed land and townscapes featuring the old man and his dog character he called, ‘the Wanderer’, branched out into endearing, almost cartoon-like cat portraits and done a series of whimsical men in bowler hats. All Artists
