Jackie is an established ceramic artist living and working in the New Forest. She has previously specialised in figurative work and has exhibited widely in the South of England and nationally. She received a Highly Commended award at the prestigious Zelli Porcelain Prize in London in 2005, judged by Paul Tippet, Head of Christie’s Ceramics.
Jackie grew up in Beaulieu and has been excited to produce a ‘Beaulieu Series’ of ceramics, which reflect her affection for the river and the landscapes of her childhood. These original decorative bowls use the vessel as a canvas and hopefully give the viewer a sense of place.
Jackie’s recent work has concentrated on ‘thrown’ forms, with an emphasis on fineness and delicacy, particularly in stoneware and porcelain.
