Amanda weaves a magical tale in her paintings by placing mystical animals in a fairytale landscape of wonderfully balanced colours.
Artist Details: Born in Essex in 1968, Amanda Clark grew up surrounded by a constant flow of imagination, creativity and painting. This has stayed with her and is expressed in her lively paintings based on folklore, myth and legend. She works in mainly watercolour and acrylics to develop a distinctive and unique style.
She is mainly self-taught but gained a National Diploma in ceramics and surface pattern in the early 1990’s which helped her develop her use of colour and pattern in her paintings. She also creates textiles, ceramics and art dolls and has illustrated four books and is now working on a fifth. She is bringing up two children in a country village in the South East of England.
Her work is collected in the UK, Spain and Australia to date.All Artists
