Roberto Luigi Valente

As Winter approaches we have just received some lovely warm mediterranean scenes from this Italian artist.

Artist Details:
Born1926, the fourth son of a farming and wine producing family of Fronsinone, Picinisco, Antica, near Casino in view of the Abrutzzi mountains, where he still lives, Roberto has painted this most beautiful area of Italy for over fifty years.

His work is easily recognisable by the vivid use of colour and vibrant brush strokes. His exhibitions in Rome and Naples have included fiery canvases, but now approaching what he terms middle age(! ) he concentrates on smaller works completed in the perfect light afforded by this region. He never paints withour an ever present cigarette and glass of red wine.
