Artist Details: Barry Peckham was born in the New Forest in 1945. He had no formal art training but started showing his work in London in 1974. His main subjects include landscape, marine and equestrian and he is a member of the Society of Equestrian Artists (SEA). His work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of Marine Artists, Royal Institute of Watercolour Painters, Pastel Society, Royal West of England Academy (Bristol), Royal Institute of Oil Painters and New English Art Club. He prefers to work directly from the subject and with the Forest on his doorstep has a ready source of inspiration. | |
