Nicky Moss

Artist Details:Nicky Moss is exhibiting with us for the first time and is now living in the New Forest. She enjoys exploring the relationship between nature and the spiritual in her art. She is an established sculptor of medals which are collected worldwide. Her medals have been exhibited at the British Museum and sell through the major auction houses. She also works in bronze and we hope to exhibit these in the future as Nicky lets the influence of the forest imbibe her work. Her ink drawings have an immediate impact and dreamlike quality which borders on the abstract.

SUN RISE

'This is not a sculpture of a horse's head and neck. This is the sculpture of a horse called Sun Rise. He has been resting and patiently waiting for his rider who is now returning. Sun Rise is stretching, raising his neck, tucking in his chin muscles in tension along the whole of his spine. He is waken (sacred). He is dripping with the night's dew, his ears are ready listening for the foot steps of his approaching rider'
