Hugh Lohan has been working on a series of cartoons based in and around Beaulieu which we are launching over the bank holiday weekend. He combines photographs and cartoon figures in a very distinctive way to raise a smile from those of us who love this area. We also have his photographic prints of the Forest which capture its different moods and have proved very popular over the last year. All the images are printed on archival paper in archival inks

Artist Details:Hugh Lohan lives on the edge of the Forest in Downton village. During his army career and later, when working for Control Risks, Hugh gradually developed his photographic skills as he travelled the world. The 'Year in the New Forest' project was his first serious commercial work in black and white. In parallel, he is working on his cartoons. He illustrated The Real Aviation Enthusiast and the follow up, The Real Aviation Enthusiast II.
