Susan Knights

The Christmas display of Susan's pictures is now hanging.

Artist Details: Born in Sale, Cheshire, Susan moved to Christchurch in Dorset and has lived there ever since. She has a City and Guilds in Floral Art and was artist
in residence at Compton Acres for four years. She has had several visits to New Zealand, where she has enjoyed painting amongst that magnificent scenery and tackling some of the world's more exotic flora. She has exhibited widely in the UK and is a member of The Society of Floral Painters. This year Susan has won awards for her paintings exhibited at art exhibitions in Christchurch.
Up to now most of Susan's paintings have been in watercolour but recently
she took up acrylics and developed a bolder style. This is particularly
apparent in her handling of floral subjects which are a major part of
her work. She uses texture to pick out the flower details and her palette
ranges from subdued to bold.
