Nagib Karsan

Artist Details:Born in Tanzania in 1955 Nagib spent his childhood in Africa and at boarding school in the UK. His early enjoyment of art led to a short course in Kenya before embarking on a varied business career.

In the late 1990's he found time to rediscover his interest in art, exploring a variety of media and techniques and found particular inspiration in the work of Frank Webb.

Nagib is now painting regularly and uses an unusual technique of applying a collage of printed cut paper to the image surface before and during the application of paint. This creates a most unusual finish that is very much his trademark.

He is a member of several art societies and his work can be found in various galleries and collections throughout the UK
