Paul Gunn

Following his success at the Christmas Exhibition, we are looking forward to receiving new works in early 2012.

Artist Details: Paul was born in Greenwich, London in 1955 and from an early age showed artistic talent. When he left school in 1972, he attended Amersham Art College and then in 1980 began work for an international engineering company as a technical illustrator. Although Paul continued to develop his art while working, it was not until he was made redundant in 1997 that he became a full-time artist/illustrator. His first works were mainly in pencil producing incredibly detailed drawings and then he added watercolours. to his shows. Paul briefly worked with pastels and although he liked the intensity of the pigment he found that they didn't give him the control he wanted. And so he moved onto acrylic paints and instantly, he found the perfect medium producing a short series of Cornish coastal hilltop views, and progresing on to larger paintings with the theme of 'light on water'.
Paul's work is in collections all over the world.
