Kate Christie

Kate has given us four large oil paintings for the late Summer including two in her new series of shore paintnigs.

Artist Details: Kate Christie was born in Yorkshire in 1954 and took an Art Foundation course at Putney School of Art followed by a Degree in Fine Art at London Guildhall University. She graduated in July 2001 and now paints full time living in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

Her work is greatly influenced by her love for sailing, portraying the movement and sensation of yachts rather than any representational likeness. Her style is distinctive somtimes bordering on abstract.
